Your qualifications and experience:
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential required
- Experience with mild to moderate disabilities in an elementary or K-8 setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to support students with mild/moderate disabilities across K-8 grade levels
- Develop, write, and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to maximize success
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, parents, and administrators
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support team meetings, and ongoing professional development
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to state and federal regulations
