Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
- Flexible and adaptable when assisting in a classroom or working with various grade levels
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in student development
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education is a plus
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
- Provide individualized or small group support to students, including those with special needs
- Monitor student engagement and behavior, encouraging a positive learning environment
- Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources
- Accompany and supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, or field trips
- Maintain a safe, supportive atmosphere for all students
- Communicate observations and student progress to teaching staff
