Direct Support Professional Supported Living Services

Lutreos is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support adults with developmental disabilities in their own homes and communities. This is not facility work, and it is not babysitting. The goal is to help people live real lives: safer, more independent, more dignified, and more connected to the world around them.

This position supports clients in Supported Living Services and may include work inside a clients home, in the community, and as part of a 24/7 support team. Duties may include assistance with daily living skills, cooking, cleaning, community access, transportation when assigned, medication self-administration support, incident reporting, and end-of-shift documentation.

Applicants should be able to read and follow support plans, write clear and objective notes, communicate professionally, stay calm under pressure, and treat clients and coworkers with respect. Prior SLS or caregiving experience is helpful, but not required for the right person.

Basic Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background check
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain shortly after hire
• Ability to read support plans and complete clear documentation
• Ability to assist with household tasks, community activities, and daily living support
• Valid California Drivers License, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance may be required for driving assignments
• Ability to work respectfully in a clients private home and maintain professional boundaries
