Manufacturing Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the semiconductor industry. In this on-site role, based at our La Mirada, CA facility, the Manufacturing Supervisor will support and report directly to the Manufacturing Manager. The successful candidate will oversee Test, Assembly, Clean Room, and Machine Shop operations, ensuring that SSDI's production commitments are met on schedule and in full. Applicants must currently reside in Southern California to be considered.

Manufacturing Supervisor - Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise manufacturing personnel across Test, Assembly, Clean Room, and Machine Shop operations to ensure safety, quality, and production goals are met.

  • Oversee personnel, processes, equipment, and delivery schedules to maintain efficient, on-time production.
  • Investigate, recommend, implement, and maintain improvements to manufacturing processes, workflow, and equipment performance.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, and Management to evaluate proposed changes, including cost, feasibility, and potential impact on production.

  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure manufacturing equipment is properly maintained and fully operational.

  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and skill development for new operators and production team members.

  • Ensure all products are manufactured according to the correct documentation, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate job status and process issues to the Manufacturing Manager to support continuous improvement.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.

Manufacturing Skills Summary

  • Leadership & Supervision: Experienced in overseeing manufacturing teams, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.

  • Electro-Mechanical Assembly: Strong hands-on skills in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electro-mechanical and electronic components within a production environment.

  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Knowledgeable in planning workflows, managing production schedules, tracking materials, and ensuring efficient manufacturing operations.

  • Quality & Testing: Solid understanding of assembly processes, electronic product testing, defect identification, and corrective action practices.

  • Safety & Compliance: Trained in manufacturing safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste.

  • Communication: Able to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, operators, and non-technical staff to support smooth production flow.

  • Multi-Tasking & Prioritization: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced manufacturing settings while maintaining accuracy and productivity.

  • Technical Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; quick to learn manufacturing software, ERP/MRP systems, and other production tools.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Education: Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.

    • Preferred: 4-year degree in Electronics

    • Acceptable: 2-year degree in Electronics plus hands-on experience

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • Prior manufacturing supervisory or lead experience required.

Schedule: Full-time / Monday - Friday / 8:00am - 5:00pm

Salary: $79K - $85K Annual / Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule (Direct Deposit)
