Job Description
Role Overview:
Lead the implementation of client’s strategic sourcing tool (SAP Ariba Sourcing or equivalent), partnering with Procurement, Finance, IT, Legal, and business unit stakeholders to deliver a configured, adopted, and operational tool. This is a hands-on PM role responsible for everything from requirements gathering to go-live readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, document, and validate business process requirements for the sourcing tool in collaboration with the Procurement team and key stakeholders.
- Gather and consolidate requirements across all user groups: Procurement, Finance, Legal, IT, and Business Units.
- Develop and maintain the project plan, milestone tracker, RAID log, and status reporting cadence.
- Serve as the primary liaison between client and the SAP Ariba implementation partner.
- Coordinate system configuration, integration with SAP S/4HANA (master data, supplier sync, PO flow), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate blockers as needed.
- Support change management activities including stakeholder communications and training coordination.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and user guides for the new sourcing tool.
- Ensure the tool is ready for go-live and that post-implementation support plans are in place before engagement concludes.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of project management experience, including at least 2 full-cycle procurement or sourcing tool implementations.
- Hands-on experience implementing SAP Ariba Sourcing and/or SAP Ariba Contracts (Coupa Sourcing, Ivalua, or Zip considered as comparable).
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing processes: RFx events, supplier evaluation, scoring, and award workflows.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA integration points with Ariba: vendor master, material/service master, PO flow, and supplier sync.
- Proven stakeholder management across Procurement, IT, Finance, and Legal in a global environment.
- Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Asana).
- Strong written and verbal English communication; able to operate independently during PST business hours.
Nice to Have:
- PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with formal change management frameworks (Prosci ADKAR).
- Background working with global, multi-region procurement teams (US + EMEA).
- Prior experience with automotive, EV, or technology joint-venture environments.
- Familiarity with SAP Ariba Network supplier onboarding at scale.
