Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work building high-quality electrical and mechanical assemblies in a fast-paced production environment.
The successful candidate will perform electrical cable and wire harness assembly, mechanical assembly, soldering, testing, and inspection while working from engineering drawings and work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Build electrical cable assemblies and wire harnesses, including crimping, wiring, terminating, bundling, and connector installation.
- Perform soldering, point-to-point wiring, electrical testing, and continuity/ring-out testing.
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products using hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and assembly drawings.
- Install and torque hardware while ensuring proper fit, alignment, and workmanship.
- Perform in-process inspections, rework, and final quality inspections.
- Follow engineering changes, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Communicate production status, material issues, and quality concerns with supervisors.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of electrical and/or electromechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with cable assemblies, wire harnesses, crimping, and connector installation.
- Surface-mount and/or hand soldering experience required.
- Mechanical assembly experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation.
- Experience using measuring tools and performing quality inspections.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precision work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC-620 and/or IPC-610 certification.
- Experience working in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to distinguish wire colors.
- Comfortable working on ladders when required.
