Essential Functions:
· Assembles, tests and trouble shoots complex electro-mechanical capital equipment, sub-systems, mechanisms and controls.
· Works from assembly procedures, technical drawings, test procedures, specifications, data sheets, schematics and wiring diagrams.
· Sets up and operates standard and specialized test and equipment. Conducts tests to determine the quality and reliability. Diagnoses the cause of any malfunctions and makes necessary corrections and adjustments.
Education & Experience Desired:
· Associates Degree or equivalent
· 1+ year’s experience working in a manufacturing environment
· Ability to read and understand:
o Assembly drawings
o Mechanical component drawings
o Electrical schematics
o Pneumatic schematics
· Experience using general test equipment, power supplies, oscilloscopes, DVM’s
· Experience with personal computer hardware, software and troubleshooting
· Experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical capital equipment
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Great interpersonal skills
· Self-Starter – self-driven
· Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a neat, clean and orderly workstation
· Experience implementing lean manufacturing, 5S and visual workplace concepts highly desired.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a production environment and entails sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time using dexterity of arms and hands. Essential functions require physical condition necessary for standing, walking, twisting, reaching, climbing, bending, kneeling and occasional use of safety/protective equipment. Work requires performance of light lifting of objects and materials up to thirty (30) pounds. Job involves exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards, vibrations and moderate levels of noise.
