Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its Los Angeles office. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity to work with a nationally recognized practice group representing clients across a range of industries. Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite)
Practice Group: Labor & Employment
Experience Required: 2–6 years
Salary Range: $225,000 – $365,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent employers in litigation and counseling on matters including wage and hour compliance, employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave and accommodation issues, employment agreements, and personnel policies.

  • Handle both class action and individual claims, including wage and hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims.

  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery.

  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients and manage client relationships.

  • Collaborate with partners and team members on sophisticated employment law matters.

Qualifications:

  • 2–6 years of experience in labor and employment law.

  • Strong experience handling wage & hour class action and PAGA matters required.

  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and initiative to take ownership of work.

  • Strong academic credentials and law school transcript with class rank required.

  • Admitted to the California Bar or eligible for admission.

  • Base salary: $225,000–$365,000
