Job DescriptionNow Hiring: House Manager – Home Care Facilities
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $26 - $28 per hour (depending on experience)
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys a mix of leadership, direct care support, training, and operational organization.
Qualifications
- Experience in both caregiving and leadership/supervisory roles required at least 2 years.
- Experience in caregiving, residential care, or healthcare settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of resident care, safety practices, and professionalism.
- Ability to lead by example and coach staff in a supportive manner.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and compliance standards.
- Comfortable adapting to changing needs and schedules.
- Reliable, calm under pressure, and solutions-oriented.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with transportation as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Staffing Support
- Provide scheduled on-site coverage to assist with call-offs.
- Cover AM or PM shifts when needed.
- Help maintain staffing ratios and adjust schedules.
- Stay with clients who remain home from day program.
- Participate in every-other-weekend 24 hour on-call rotation (as assigned).
Compliance & House Oversight
- Complete routine audits (infection control, PPE, kitchen safety, bedrooms/bathrooms).
- Check emergency equipment and general home readiness.
- Maintain logs, binders, and required documentation.
- Assist with vehicle and supply checks.
Training & Coaching
- Support new hire shadowing and hands-on training.
- Reinforce proper care techniques (transfers, hygiene, feeding, safety).
- Observe performance and provide coaching.
- Help maintain skills checklists and training records.
Operational Support
- Monitor lead caregivers with inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
- Organize records and maintain compliance materials.
- Help prepare activity calendars and outings.
- Assist with appointments, admissions, and home readiness for visits/surveys.
- Ensure vehicles and shared spaces remain clean and stocked.
Schedule (Flexible Mid-Shift Role). (YOU MUST HAVE FLEXIBLE AVAILABILITY)
Typical coverage: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (3-4 days/week with 24 hour call every other weekend.)
Flex based on staffing needs:
- May start early if AM call-off occurs.
- May stay later if PM call-off occurs.
- If no coverage is needed, the shift focuses on training, audits, and operational tasks.
