We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our highly technical team of experts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Demonstrate exceptional reliability by consistently reporting to work on time and as scheduled
- Answer phones and emails, evaluate client requests, and assign appropriate resources
- Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 (Office 365) email
- Diagnose and resolve Windows 10 hardware and software issues
- Work with vendor support to resolve hardware and software issues
- Perform basic network troubleshooting
- Provide light Windows Server administration (user account creation, folder permissions, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and configure Wi-Fi networks
- Manage and monitor device backups
- Perform on-site troubleshooting and hardware support when issues cannot be resolved remotely
- Install and configure network and locally connected printers
- Support mobile devices (iPad, iPhone, and Android)
- Provide light Mac troubleshooting
- Assist engineers with special projects as needed
- Troubleshoot and remediate system issues while implementing improvements to prevent future problems
- Maintain detailed, ITIL-compliant documentation in the ticketing system
- Install, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows-based computers
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform job functions
- Continuously learn and expand knowledge of core support systems
- Maintain reliable transportation (client locations are within a 30-mile radius of Salinas)
Required Experience & Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to determine whether issues are hardware- or software-related
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to train and support end users
- Strong interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical clients
