RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write, maintain, and periodically update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and Quality Control (QC) checklists.
- Build clear production instructions and SOPs for implementation on production lines, supporting both Pilot and Mass Production (MP) phases.
- Analyze production test logs, test results, and procedures to identify opportunities for quality, yield, and efficiency improvement.
- Review existing manufacturing processes and develop solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, or improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with approved production methods, quality standards, and documented procedures.
- Manage, review, and support engineering changes (ECNs/ECOs) for the assigned production area or zone.
- Coordinate engineering changes with production demands, training requirements, and evolving labor standards.
- Support implementation of approved changes on the production floor with proper documentation and training.
- Build, modify, and maintain test automation tools, scripts, and fixtures to support production testing.
- Support troubleshooting of production test issues related to hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Build and create new Proof of Concept (POC) products to support sales efforts, new product configurations, and customer-specific requirements.
- Validate manufacturability, test coverage, and production readiness of new configurations prior to Pilot or MP release.
- Document POC build procedures, test results, and lessons learned to support future production implementation.
- Demonstrate strong self-learning capability to acquire new technical knowledge and manufacturing skills.
- Train and educate production teams and cross-functional departments on new processes, SOPs, tools, engineering changes, and POC learnings.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Test, Supply Chain, PM, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
- Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform assigned job functions.
- Work under immediate supervision with limited requirement for independent judgment.
- Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–2 years of experience as a Production Engineer or in a related manufacturing engineering role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of formal education and experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Electronic, or Computing Engineering.
- Ability to work effectively across departments as a collaborative team member.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate engineering changes, POC activities, training, and production execution.
- Ability to manage engineering changes while balancing production schedules, training needs, and labor standards
- Knowledge of computer hardware specifications and system-level components.
- Familiarity with production methods, manufacturing processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Required knowledge of Linux-based platforms and working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail in documentation, testing, and process execution.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge in MES, repair and Troubleshooting is a plus.
- Experience with test automation, scripting, and production testing is preferred.
