The Beer and Wine Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by preparing and serving beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar area while ensuring compliance with all alcohol service regulations. The ideal candidate is professional, team-oriented, and thrives in a high-volume setting.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standardsProvide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service at all timesAccurately process orders and payments through the POS systemVerify guest identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulationsMonitor guest alcohol consumption and promote responsible beverage serviceMaintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area throughout serviceRestock beer, wine, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies as neededCommunicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to support smooth operationsAssist with opening, closing, cleaning, and side work dutiesReport maintenance, inventory, or safety concerns to management promptlyFollow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standardsQualificationsPrevious bartending or hospitality experience preferredKnowledge of beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service practicesValid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required or ability to obtainFood Handler Certification requiredStrong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectivelyMust be at least 21 years of ageAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-30 lbsAvailability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs requireCompensation & BenefitsPaid time off and holidaysPaid sick timeUNITE HERE Local 2 union benefitsMeal provided during shiftProfessional development opportunitiesWork environment within an art-based communityDiversity & InclusionGGC is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
