Role

We're hiring a Project Manager to help lead the next phase of growth at Pacific West Construction Services.

This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Pacific West Construction Services is a Southern California-based Commercial and Engineering General Contractor with offices in Redondo Beach and Irvine. We specialize in underground utilities, hydro excavation, multifamily developments, tenant improvements (TI), swimming pool construction, asphalt paving and repair, site development, concrete work, and specialty infrastructure projects.

In this role, you will oversee multiple projects simultaneously and serve as the primary link between clients, field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and company leadership. You will be entrusted with project budgets, contracts, procurement, scheduling, and overall project performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from contract award through final closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans.
• Lead project kickoff meetings and coordinate project teams.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout, contract administration, and change orders.
• Review project plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and construction documents.
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents, Foremen, Engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Track project costs, labor productivity, profitability, and overall financial performance.
• Manage owner communication and provide regular project updates.
• Identify project risks and implement solutions before issues impact schedule or budget.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Review invoices, pay applications, and project billing.
• Maintain complete and organized project documentation.
• Support business development efforts and help maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, company standards, and safety expectations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in construction.
• Experience managing commercial, civil, utility, multifamily, or site development projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and cost controls.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Buildertrend, or similar construction management software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing demands.
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrated history of professionalism, accountability, and sound decision-making.
• Ability to successfully pass background screening and any job-related evaluations required for positions involving financial oversight and company resources.

Location

Redondo Beach, CA and Irvine, CA

Travel to project sites throughout Southern California is required.

Compensation

$95,000-120,000 DOE

Final compensation will be based on experience, project complexity, leadership ability, and demonstrated results.
