Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team at Mission Park Healthcare Center. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning and facilitating social and recreational events for our residents. Responsibilities:

Assist in evaluating each resident's background, interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs to develop and plan a meaningful program to improve and enhance each resident's quality of life

Develop and maintain records of resident attendance and participation in program activities

Maintain a current list of residents who are unable or unwilling to participate in group activities and current records of the type and frequency of activities provided

Assist in developing and posting a monthly activities calendar and publicizing program activities to residents, families, and staff

Maintain progress notes, quarterly reviews, and annual reviews of progress towards goals specific to the resident's activity plan

Coordinate and facilitate the monthly resident council meeting to provide a forum for advocacy, education, and group participation in activities and unit programming

Perform other duties as requested
Requirements:

Professional Qualifications:
-
Ability to communicate with small and large groups
-
Ability to work well with those who have physical or mental limitations
-
High school diploma; degree in hotel management or relevant field will be a plus

Personal Qualifications:

Strong communication skills, both oral and written
-
Knowledge and awareness of the care needs of the elderly and/or chronically ill

Basic computer skills

Full-time position with competitive hourly rate of $21.73

Monday-Friday dayshift schedule with weekend availability
