THE SKATESIDE is one of Southern California's leading youth skateboarding programs, serving thousands of children through camps, lessons, school programs, and community events.
Since 2015, our mission has been simple:

We use skateboarding to help children develop confidence, resilience, independence, and character while creating positive experiences they will remember for years to come.
Position Overview
THE SKATESIDE is looking for responsible, energetic, and enthusiastic individuals to join our Summer Camp team in Santa Monica.
As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will help create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where campers learn skateboarding skills, build confidence, make friends, and stay active throughout the summer.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, loves being outdoors, and wants to make a positive impact in their community.
Responsibilities
- Supervise campers throughout daily activities
- Assist with skateboarding instruction and games
- Promote a safe and positive camp environment
- Encourage participation, effort, and sportsmanship
- Help with camp setup and cleanup
- Support beginner skaters as they learn new skills
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff
- Represent THE SKATESIDE in a positive and professional manner
Qualifications
- Experience working with children preferred
- Skateboarding experience preferred but not required
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Comfortable working outdoors and being active
- Ability to lead by example and encourage young skaters
- Passion for making a difference in children's lives
