Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to assist with classroom management and implement teacher-directed activities
- Commitment to student confidentiality and school policies
- Flexibility, resourcefulness, and a collaborative spirit
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional support to students individually or in small groups as directed by the teacher
- Assist with activities of daily living, organization, and fostering social skills
- Help prepare classroom materials and keep learning spaces organized
- Participate in monitoring student behavior and ensuring a safe environment
- Support students with learning differences or special needs under the guidance of certified staff
- Assist with supervision during recess, lunch, arrival, and dismissal
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as needed
