Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Facilities Coordinator to oversee and maintain critical building systems and utilities. This role ensures operational reliability in a 24/7 environment, supports compliance with safety standards, and drives continuous improvement across facility operations.
Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as the single point of accountability for all building systems and utilities.
2. Oversee steam/boiler systems, water systems, HVAC, electrical, compressed air, and related mechanical infrastructure.
3. Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
4. Monitor system performance and proactively address risks before disruptions occur.
5. Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical utilities supporting sterile processing.
6. Lead troubleshooting efforts during system failures or emergencies, including after-hours response.
7. Build redundancy and contingency plans to reduce operational risk.
8. Ensure adherence to safety standards, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
9. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
10. Support audit readiness and documentation standards.
11. Oversee service contracts, vendor performance, and maintenance budgets.
12. Manage capital improvement planning and facility expansion projects.
13. Identify efficiency opportunities to improve reliability and reduce costs.
14. Work alongside technicians when necessary to resolve issues quickly.
15. Maintain clean, organized mechanical and maintenance areas.
16. Ensure accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and system performance.
17. Model professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through.

Required Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. 5+ years of facilities, plant, or equipment management experience in production, manufacturing, healthcare, or industrial settings.
3. Strong knowledge of steam systems, boilers, water systems, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure.
4. Experience building and managing preventive maintenance programs.
5. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
6. Experience managing vendors, contractors, and maintenance budgets.
7. Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
8. High ownership mindset with comfort operating in a 24/7 responsibility environment.
9. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in healthcare or sterile processing environments.
2. Knowledge of facility expansion and commissioning projects.
3. 
   

Certifications

1. Technical certifications, OSHA training, or related credentials (preferred).
