Electrical Engineer

About the Role
Stillpoint AEC is partnering with a highly respected multidisciplinary engineering and design firm to identify an Electrical Engineer for its San Francisco office. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a firm recognized for delivering innovative, sustainable, and technically sophisticated building systems for some of the most complex and architecturally significant projects on the West Coast.
The Electrical Engineer will contribute to the design and delivery of electrical systems for a diverse portfolio of projects while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, designers, and project stakeholders. This role is ideal for an engineer with 5-12 years of experience in consulting engineering who enjoys solving complex design challenges, working in a highly collaborative environment, and contributing to projects that emphasize sustainability, performance, and thoughtful design. More senior candidates will also be considered for leadership-oriented opportunities within the organization.

Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage systems for a variety of building types
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Develop electrical system concepts and participate in integrated design efforts throughout all project phases
- Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, civil, and specialty consultants
- Perform electrical system analysis and equipment selection
- Participate in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project reviews utilizing Revit
- Support sustainable design initiatives and energy-efficient building solutions
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and assist with construction administration activities
- Participate in client meetings and technical presentations as required
- Mentor junior engineering staff and contribute to technical development initiatives
- Support project management and client relationship efforts as opportunities arise
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
- 5-12 years of experience in electrical engineering within a consulting engineering or AEC environment preferred
- PE preferred
- Candidates actively pursuing PE licensure will also be considered
- More senior candidates with strong consulting engineering experience are encouraged to apply
- Experience designing building electrical systems including power, lighting, and emergency systems required
- Proficiency with Revit and electrical design software preferred
- Knowledge of NEC, California Building Codes, Title 24, and applicable industry standards preferred
- Experience with commercial, higher education, healthcare, laboratory, science and technology, civic, or institutional projects preferred
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
