Embark on a fulfilling opportunity supporting students’ communication needs for the 2026-2027 school year in the Oroville/Paradise region. This contract role involves providing speech-language pathology services in a supportive educational setting, working directly with 1-2 classrooms. The district values collaboration and has welcomed travel professionals previously. Flexibility is built into this position, as candidates may work in person two days per week or be considered for a virtual assignment. Ideal applicants will also assist with SLPA supervision.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP in California
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Comfort providing in-person and/or virtual speech services
- Prior experience supervising SLPA candidates is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to elementary and/or secondary students in assigned classrooms
- Conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Document services in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Support IEP teams and participate in meetings as needed
- Coordinate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student outcomes
- Supervise and mentor SLPA staff, guiding their clinical growth
