Job Description

Embark on a fulfilling opportunity supporting students’ communication needs for the 2026-2027 school year in the Oroville/Paradise region. This contract role involves providing speech-language pathology services in a supportive educational setting, working directly with 1-2 classrooms. The district values collaboration and has welcomed travel professionals previously. Flexibility is built into this position, as candidates may work in person two days per week or be considered for a virtual assignment. Ideal applicants will also assist with SLPA supervision.

Desired Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP in California
Experience in school-based settings preferred
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Comfort providing in-person and/or virtual speech services
Prior experience supervising SLPA candidates is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver speech-language therapy to elementary and/or secondary students in assigned classrooms
Conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
Document services in accordance with school and state guidelines
Support IEP teams and participate in meetings as needed
Coordinate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student outcomes
Supervise and mentor SLPA staff, guiding their clinical growth
