Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in a school environment is highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with students, educators, and support staff
- Ability to assist students with academic assignments, classroom activities, and daily routines
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage varying classroom settings and student needs
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or coursework preferred
- Commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers to support instruction in both specialized and general education classrooms
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students, reinforcing lessons and activities
- Monitor student progress and assist with classroom management
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs), behavior plans, and scheduled accommodations
- Assist with classroom organization, preparation of learning materials, and supervision during activities and transitions
- Communicate observations and feedback with teaching staff to support student success
