Job Description

We are seeking a Wet Process Operator (Sander) who is looking for an exciting and rewarding opportunity. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and show a true sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform job-related tasks as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Read and understand applicable process procedures and safety rules.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
  • Wet sand by hand using grit sandpaper.
  • Set up and operate equipment semi-automatically with minimal supervision.
  • Use measuring devices such as eye loops and microscopes.
  • Visually inspect panel quality and make required adjustments.
  • Discontinue processing when a non-conforming condition is found and report it to management.
  • Perform all tasks and routine maintenance as required by process procedure.
  • Accurately complete all departmental quality and lot tracking documentation.
  • Assist other operators when time allows.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production, sanding, paint preparation, and polishing.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Excellent work ethics, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the work area.
  • Ability to safely work with chemicals.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and willing to cross-train in other areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orange, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
