Role Overview

The Attorney Recruiting Assistant provides critical support for attorney hiring programs, including summer associate and lateral hiring initiatives, in a leading law firm environment. The role involves extensive administrative coordination, client service delivery, and collaboration with recruiting teams to facilitate smooth operational processes during high-volume recruitment periods.

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of summer associate and lateral attorney recruiting programs
  • \n

  • Support the scheduling, communication, and onboarding of attorney candidates in collaboration with hiring managers and legal teams
  • \n

  • Manage candidate databases, applicant tracking systems, and related platforms (e.g., LawCruit, Symplicity, Legal.DATA) to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
  • \n

  • Prepare and distribute interview materials, offer letters, and related documentation
  • \n

  • Provide general administrative support including calendar management, travel arrangements, and correspondence for attorney recruiting teams
  • \n

  • Contribute to project coverage during peak periods, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks and compliance with firm policies
  • \n

Core Qualifications & Requirements

  • Prior experience supporting legal or professional services recruitment, administrative coordination, or HR functions in a law firm or corporate legal setting
  • \n

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • \n

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • \n

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with legal and recruiting teams
  • \n

  • Availability for temporary, seasonal engagement during summer months and peak hiring periods
  • \n

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as LawCruit, Symplicity, or Legal.DATA
  • \n

  • Knowledge of attorney recruiting practices and summer program management
  • \n

  • Familiarity with legal hiring policies and compliance standards
  • \n

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • \n

  • Previous experience supporting law firm pipelines for large summer associate classes or lateral attorney hires
  • \n
