Inventory Control Clerk

Job Description

The role is responsible for inventory control, repair material management, ERP transactions, and cross-functional coordination to support Global Service & Repair operations in an FDA-regulated medical device environment. This position requires advanced SAP expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex workflows independently.

Responsibilities

  • Receive returned products into the ERP system and determine appropriate disposition and handling.
  • Follow up with Product Surveillance on required actions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by adhering to manufacturing and material movement best practices.
  • Prepare, issue, and kit materials per Repair Work Order Pick Lists, work instructions, and schedules.
  • Ensure continuous workflow and adherence to repair timelines.
  • Assign material retrieval and return instructions; support Purchase Order preparation.
  • Generate product packaging and component labels per router and BOM requirements.
  • Perform physical inventories and cycle counts to support ERP accuracy.
  • Verify issued materials match the required Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Ensure work order documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
  • Maintain workstation organization and compliance with area clearance procedures.
  • Log received materials in the complaints database.
  • Prepare written repair quotes and obtain customer approvals.
  • Monitor vendor repairs, evaluations, and quotes for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Liaise with internal departments including Product Surveillance, Quality, Finance, and Logistics.
  • Support Global Service & Repair projects and initiatives.
  • Support internal and external audits, NCRs, and adhere to all bloodborne pathogen and related safety procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Advanced SAP knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable product lines and GSR customer fulfillment.
  • Knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in SAP, Quest, and Salesforce event management processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly document data and follow procedural requirements.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional and matrix teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing procedures and fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years experience.
  • Forklift Experience is nice to have, must be open to getting certified.
  • Prefers Bachelor's Degree.
  • English Required.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily independent after training, with teams composed of 7-8 individuals forming a close-knit community. Shifts are from 7:00am - 3:30pm or 7:30am - 4:00pm, with occasional overtime on Saturdays that typically isn't mandatory.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39000.00 - $40000.00/yr.
