Responsibilities
Draw blood samples from patients, ensuring safety and accuracy in both pediatric and geriatric populations.
Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures and guidelines.
Explain procedures to patients to foster trust and confidence during blood collection.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all procedures performed.
Work independently with minimal supervision to complete daily tasks efficiently.
Ensure a safe and professional environment for patients and staff.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to confidentiality and patient information.
Required Skills
Proven ability to provide error-free, quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
Strong customer service skills, with experience in a retail or service setting preferred.
Keyboard and data entry proficiency.
Additional Skills & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience is required; over one year preferred.
Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
