Job Summary
We are seeking detail-oriented AV Hardware Validation & Quality Control Technicians to support hardware validation, testing, and operational processing in a warehouse and laboratory environment. In this role, you will execute standardized testing procedures, validate hardware functionality, process equipment for deployment, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure quality and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on position requiring strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to follow documented procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Validation & Testing
- Connect sensors, compute devices, and related hardware to testing and validation benches.
- Execute documented hardware validation procedures and testing workflows.
- Verify hardware functionality using established pass/fail criteria.
- Record test results and update asset tracking systems accurately.
- Apply status labels and maintain hardware identification records.
Software & Firmware Support
- Perform software installations, firmware updates, and driver installations.
- Execute predefined scripts and automation workflows.
- Validate successful completion of software and firmware updates.
- Confirm expected hardware performance following updates.
Hardware Processing
- Prepare validated hardware for shipment to integration or deployment teams.
- Identify, label, and separate failed or defective hardware.
- Route failed equipment through repair or return (RMA) processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory and hardware disposition records.
Operational Support
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Escalate issues that cannot be resolved through documented troubleshooting procedures.
- Maintain organized workstations, testing equipment, and inventory.
- Support daily production goals while maintaining quality and accuracy standards.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow documented procedures.
- Experience using command-line tools and executing existing scripts.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills.
- Experience in a technical lab, warehouse, manufacturing, hardware support, or testing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing hardware testing, validation, or quality control.
- Familiarity with firmware updates, software installation, and driver management.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar).
- Experience with inventory management, shipping/receiving, or RMA processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues independently.
- Familiarity with autonomous vehicle technologies, sensors, or embedded hardware.
