As a Legal Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation. Responsibilities include managing attorney calendars, calculating and tracking litigation deadlines, preparing and filing legal documents in state and federal courts, coordinating depositions and mediations, maintaining case files, assisting with discovery and document productions, and supporting trial preparation efforts. You will serve as a key point of coordination between attorneys, clients, court personnel, experts, vendors, and opposing counsel to help ensure matters progress efficiently and deadlines are consistently met.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators in a fast-paced defense environment while gaining exposure to a variety of complex civil litigation matters.
The ideal candidate will have prior litigation legal assistant experience, preferably within insurance defense, civil litigation, personal injury, construction defect, transportation, or general liability practices. Strong calendaring, docketing, e-filing, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Experience with discovery management, deposition coordination, trial preparation, and litigation support software is highly preferred.
