Position Summary\n
We’re seeking an experienced Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN) to serve as a clinical resource for patients and staff related to ostomy care, continence disorders, acute/chronic wounds, skin breakdown, and fistulae. This nurse provides direct wound and ostomy care in inpatient and outpatient settings, supports patient/family education, and partners with the care team to evaluate products/equipment and reduce hospital-acquired pressure injuries.
Key Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Provide specialized wound and ostomy assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing management
- Deliver pre- and post-operative patient/family education on wound and ostomy care
- Assess patients with pressure injuries (stage 3 and above) and support appropriate documentation/reporting requirements
- Evaluate hospital-acquired pressure injuries and collaborate on prevention initiatives
- Support the care team with product/equipment evaluation related to skin integrity and wound care
- Provide staff education through in-services and bedside teaching
- Stay current on evidence-based wound/skin care practices and share updates with clinical teams

- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Licensure/Certifications

- Active California RN license (in good standing)
- CWON certification (required)

Experience

- Minimum 4 years of clinical experience
