Requirements\n

- Minimum 2 years of recent Ultrasound Technologist experience in an acute care hospital
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required
- BLS Certification (AHA) required

Job Responsibilities\n
The Ultrasound Technologist performs a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures while producing high-quality diagnostic images to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.
\n
Responsibilities include:

- \n
- Perform a variety of general ultrasound examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the examination process.
- Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment for optimal image quality.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department.
- Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in the electronic medical record system.
- Transport patients to and from the imaging department as needed.
- Maintain an efficient workflow while accommodating both scheduled and emergency examinations.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
- Adhere to infection prevention, radiation safety (when applicable), and hospital policies and procedures.
