Position Summary
Our commercial furniture company is looking for a dependable Bobtail Driver to join our swing shift team. This role is responsible for safely transporting furniture, materials, and equipment between company locations while assisting with loading and unloading deliveries. The ideal candidate enjoys a hands-on role and is comfortable supporting warehouse operations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a bobtail truck to transport commercial furniture and materials.
- Load, unload, and secure furniture and other cargo for safe transport.
- Assist with moving, staging, and organizing furniture in the warehouse.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Verify delivery paperwork and ensure accurate deliveries.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to prepare and complete deliveries.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area.
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving a bobtail truck preferred.
- Able to lift and move furniture weighing up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Comfortable with frequent loading and unloading throughout the shift.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial furniture delivery, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Forklift and/or pallet jack experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for delivery documentation and inventory tracking.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
