• Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist the Occupational Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on participants’ individual treatment plans.
• Handle scheduling of participants’ treatments, clinical visits, and billing.
• Document occupational therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to the use of devices, techniques, and activities to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance, and endurance, and other factors affecting independence in performing ADLs.

Experience you will need: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

• Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) associate’s degree from an accredited program.
• Valid California OTA license, or proof of license eligibility.
• Minimum of two (2) years of OTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
• OTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.
