Immediate opening for a Shipping Lead in Brea, CA who possesses:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of shipping, logistics, warehouse, or inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Electronics manufacturing, EMS, or PCBA experience preferred
FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Shipping Lead to oversee daily shipping operations and ensure accurate, efficient, and timely shipment of PCBA products in a manufacturing environment. This temp-to-hire role serves as a key resource for shipping processes, inventory accuracy, carrier coordination, customer-specific shipping requirements, and inventory management of semi-finished and finished goods. The ideal candidate will have shipping, logistics, warehouse, or inventory control experience in manufacturing, strong knowledge of shipping documentation and carrier systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and cross-functional teams.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing daily shipping operations
- Ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely shipment of PCBA products
- Reviewing customer requirements, routing guides, and shipping instructions
- Ensuring shipments meet customer specifications and delivery requirements
- Processing and coordinating domestic and international shipments
- Using UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and related carrier systems
- Verifying the accuracy of shipping notices, bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and other shipping documentation
- Coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Tracking shipments and resolving shipping-related issues
- Utilizing ERP and reporting systems to verify inventory transactions
- Pulling product from production and ensuring shipments are processed against the correct customer orders
- Maintaining accurate shipping, inventory, and transaction records
- Supporting inventory control of semi-finished and finished goods
- Assisting with training and supporting shipping process knowledge
- Assisting with process improvements and resolution of shipping discrepancies
- Supporting operational efficiency, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction
- Communicating effectively with customers, carriers, and cross-functional teams
- Serving as a key resource for shipping processes and customer-specific shipping requirements
- Maintaining an organized and efficient shipping area
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- 3+ years of shipping, logistics, warehouse, or inventory control experience required
- Manufacturing environment experience required
- Electronics manufacturing, EMS, or PCBA experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation required
- Carrier system experience required
- Freight coordination experience preferred
- Experience with customer-specific shipping requirements preferred
- ERP system experience required
- Microsoft Office experience required
- Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe experience preferred
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with customers, carriers, and cross-functional teams
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to support inventory accuracy and transaction recordkeeping
- Ability to help resolve shipping discrepancies
- Ability to work onsite in Brea, CA
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Ability to support a temp-to-hire opportunity
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, reach, push, pull, and move throughout warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production areas as needed
- Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 25 pounds as needed
- Ability to package, label, verify, and prepare products for shipment
- Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, packaging, labeling, filing, scanning, and handling shipping documentation
- Ability to review shipping notices, bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, customer requirements, inventory records, ERP transactions, and computer screens for extended periods
- Ability to work with shipping materials, finished goods, semi-finished goods, PCBA products, carrier systems, and warehouse equipment as needed
- Ability to communicate by phone, email, and in person throughout the workday
- Ability to work in a manufacturing, warehouse, and shipping environment while following applicable safety procedures
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment as needed
Salary Range: $24 to $27/hour
