Electrical Controls Engineer – Manufacturing (Direct Hire)
Location: Cerritos, CA
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt (Salaried)
Reports To: Director of Operations
Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our Engineering & Regulatory team. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering excellent benefits, long-term career stability, and the opportunity to grow with a successful organization.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, improving manufacturing equipment, solving technical challenges, and working with cross-functional teams. Position Responsibilities
Support the design, troubleshooting, and improvement of electrical systems for manufacturing equipment. Diagnose electrical and control system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions. Create and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Support equipment installations, startups, testing, reliability improvements, and continuous improvement projects. Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Operations teams to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field is required.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant electrical engineering experience required, preferably supporting manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, or controls.
Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation is required.
Preferred Experience
Experience with PLC troubleshooting/programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar), HMI systems, industrial controls, motors, sensors, instrumentation, electromechanical systems, AutoCAD, UL/NSF requirements, or continuous improvement methods is highly preferred.
