Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Take on a rewarding assignment supporting students from preschool (age 3) through 8th grade with a caseload not exceeding 55 students. This contract opportunity is perfect for a Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a dynamic, school-based role near Cottonwood, CA. The schedule consists of 40 hours per week and is itinerant – you’ll work at 3 to 4 different school sites, providing services to a diverse student population ranging from those with speech and language delays to students with more significant needs such as autism and intellectual disabilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP in California
  • Recent experience working with pediatric and/or school populations
  • Knowledge of assessment, developing treatment plans, and progress monitoring
  • Strong collaboration skills to work alongside educators, families, and support staff
  • CTC (California Teaching Credential) preferred
  • Ability to adapt to travel between multiple locations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and write reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy, consultation, and collaboration with teachers and other service providers
  • Maintain thorough records and document student progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and communicate effectively with families
  • Travel between assigned school sites as an itinerant SLP
