Title: Compliance Engineer
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (on-site)
Annual Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
We are looking for a Compliance Engineer to support the design, testing, and certification of our electronic products. In this role, you will help ensure our products meet UL, CE, TUV, and other safety and regulatory standards. You will review designs, perform compliance testing, work with outside labs, and support the release of safe and reliable products.
Key Responsibilities
- Review BOMs, electrical schematics, and PCB layouts to ensure compliance with agency requirements
- Coordinate with third party agencies and external labs to meet certification schedules
- Perform compliance tests including temperature, Hi Pot, and EMC measurements and prepare test reports
- Review regulatory documentation associated with company products
- Travel to external labs to support certification testing activities
- Support design teams with compliance related feedback and recommendations
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design, testing, or compliance of industrial electronics
- Experience reviewing BOMs, schematics, and PCB layouts
- Hands on experience performing compliance tests temperature, Hi Pot, EMC, etc
- Familiarity with UL, CE, TUV, and related regulatory frameworks
- Understanding of electrical circuits, component behavior, and parasitic interactions
- Knowledge of EMI and EMC suppression techniques across control and power electronics
- Experience with regulatory standards such as UL IEC 61800 5 1, EN 61000 6, IEC 61508
- Experience with UL IEC 60601 for medical devices
- Experience with servo drive design, testing, or certification
