Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join a leading law firm’s Real Estate practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, leasing, and development projects.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, JV agreements, and loan documents
• Support acquisitions, dispositions, and real estate financings
• Assist with leasing matters (office, retail, industrial, mixed-use)
• Conduct due diligence (title, survey, zoning, environmental)
• Coordinate closings and manage transaction documentation

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of real estate transactional experience
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Experience with commercial real estate transactions and diligence
• Ability to manage deals from signing through closing
• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction required

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $225,000 – $435,000 + bonus (based on class year)
