Job Title: Cleanroom Production Operator
Job Description
The Cleanroom Production Operator works in the pump department on a manufacturing line, operating from an individual workstation equipped with a laptop. In this role, you perform electro-mechanical assembly, monitor and record test results, and ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete. You work closely with a team to meet daily pump production goals while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Work on a manufacturing line within the pump department, rotating through assigned workstations to complete pump assemblies.
- Perform manual electro-mechanical assembly tasks using small hand tools and follow established procedures.
- Operate from a dedicated workstation with a laptop to observe test results and accurately record data in the computer system.
- Use computer applications to log production data, test outcomes, and other required information in real time.
- Perform testing and basic troubleshooting on pumps to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
- Review batch records and monitor all documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established guidelines.
- Inspect products and components visually and with basic tools to verify quality before packaging.
- Assist with packaging and packing of finished pumps according to defined standards and instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the cleanroom, following all cleanliness and contamination-control procedures.
- Follow production targets and contribute to achieving daily pump production goals, currently working toward approximately 216 pumps per person per day.
- Collaborate with team members on the manufacturing line to support smooth workflow, station coverage, and continuous production.
- Adhere to all safety, cleanroom, and PPE requirements while moving between different stations and tasks.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality to support production schedules and team reliability.
Essential Skills
- Proven attention to detail, with the ability to carefully observe machines, test results, and documentation while moving between stations.
- Ability to perform manual electro-mechanical assembly work at a bench for extended periods.
- Comfort working at a workstation where you may sit or stand throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to log and track data accurately using a laptop.
- Experience or strong aptitude in production, cleanroom operations, assembly, and quality assurance.
- Ability to use small hand tools safely and effectively for assembly and inspection tasks.
- Capability to perform inspection and packaging activities according to defined standards.
- Strong work ethic with reliability, consistency, and a commitment to meeting production goals.
- Willingness and ability to be trained on specific processes, equipment, and documentation requirements.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively on a manufacturing line.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.

Work Environment
This role is based in a cleanroom manufacturing environment with modern, well-maintained facilities. You work an AWS schedule from Monday to Thursday, typically from 2:45 p.m. to 1:15 a.m. The position involves working at a bench or workstation on a production line, with the flexibility to sit or stand while performing tasks. You use a laptop and small hand tools as part of daily work, and you follow strict cleanroom and safety protocols. Full personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including a zipped jumpsuit, shoe covers, hairnet, mask, and gloves. The environment is structured, process-driven, and team-oriented, with a strong focus on cleanliness, quality, and meeting production goals.

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.76 - $19.76/hr.
