Job Description
Plastic packaging manufacturing company in Carson is looking to hire Electro-Maintenance Mechanics to join their team on the 2nd shift.
 
<ul>
<li>Monday - Friday</li>
<li>6pm - 6am</li>
<li>Must be available for overtime and weekends</li>
</ul>
 
Performance Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Strength demands: Includes exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and sitting, standing and walking to a significant degree.</li>
<li>Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas.</li>
<li>Experience with electrical systems, product manuals, schematics, troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, reading mechanical drawings</li>
<li>Experience in electrical/electronics, PLC’s (programmable logic controls), A/C and D/C motors, drives and controls.</li>
<li>Experience wiring 24V and 480V motors; and programming settings on the VFD’s for these motors.</li>
<li>Knowledge of in-house equipment and machinery.</li>
<li>Proficiency with electrical and mechanical system troubleshooting with a strong understanding of AC and DC voltages and mechanical power transmission systems.</li>
<li>All other duties and responsibilities determined by individual department and/or reasonably assigned from time to time.</li>
