The CNC Operator plays a key role within a small, collaborative team, responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts. Reporting directly to the shop floor supervisor and production manager, this position focuses on precision, safety, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment. There is no travel required, and the role offers growth through cross-training and advancement opportunities toward CNC programming.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines for scheduled production runs
- Monitor machine operation to ensure efficient and accurate processing
- Perform quality inspections of finished parts to meet specifications
- Maintain safety compliance throughout all operations
- Change tools and fixtures as required for different jobs
- Handle materials and prepare workpieces for machining
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in CNC operation
- Proficient with CNC machine operation and blueprint reading
- Knowledge of machining processes and quality control standards
- Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills
