OVERVIEW
The Front of House Team Member is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through attentive service, operational excellence, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role serves as the primary point of interaction with guests and plays a critical role in ensuring order accuracy, speed of service, and overall restaurant cleanliness. Front of House Team Members are expected to represent the Chick-fil-A brand with professionalism, hospitality, and a commitment to excellence in every interaction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Front of House Team Member, under the direction and supervision of the shift Manager and ultimately the Front of House Operations Manager, is responsible for managing and supporting the following:
Guest Experience & Service
- Interact directly with guests to provide a welcoming, hospitable, and efficient service experience
- Take guest orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Address guest questions and concerns with professionalism, urgency, and care
- Resolve guest complaints or escalate to leadership when necessary
- Demonstrate attentiveness to guest needs and seek opportunities to exceed expectation
Drive Thru & Front Counter Operations
- Operate Drive Thru positions, including order taking, payment processing, and guest interaction
- Accurately receive and process guest payments using the POS system
- Prepare beverages, desserts, and sauces according to restaurant standards
- Maintain speed and accuracy to support overall service time and car count goals
- Monitor Front Counter and Drive Thru areas to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Cleanliness & Food Safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in all guest-facing areas
- Regularly clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, counters, drink stations, and dining areas
- Adhere to Food Safety 5 standards at all times
- Uphold cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with restaurant expectations and health guidelines
Operational Support
- Support overall restaurant operations by completing assigned tasks with urgency and accuracy
- Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining Front of House workstations, ensuring operational readiness at all times
- Execute opening or closing duties as assigned, including cleaning, stocking, and preparing the restaurant for service
- Maintain equipment and ensure all Front of House tools are clean and in proper working condition
- Support team members and leadership with additional operational tasks as needed
Teamwork & Execution
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a strong team environment
- Follow direction from Team Leaders and Managers with consistency and urgency
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and accountability in all assigned responsibilities
- Adapt quickly to changing business needs and assist in different positions as required

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age of 16 years old
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs
- Available to work on Fridays and Saturdays
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks
- Ability to lift and carry items as needed for restaurant operations
