Job DescriptionBachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Spindle is partnering with a school district to hire a High School Education Specialist serving students with Extensive Support Needs for next school year. (Ask about Travel Opportunity Stipends!)
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction and transition services to high school students across a range of support needs

Co-teach and collaborate with general education teachers to support access to the high school curriculum

Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with robust post-secondary transition goals aligned with student strengths and interests

Coordinate community-based instruction, work experience, and transition-to-adulthood programming

Track and report student progress toward IEP goals, graduation requirements, and transition benchmarks
Qualifications:

California Education Specialist Credential – Extensive Support Needs

Experience with high school transition planning and post-secondary readiness programming preferred

Strong cross-disciplinary collaboration, family partnership, and instructional differentiation skills
