Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our legal team, where you will represent clients in civil litigation cases. You will be responsible for managing cases from inception to trial, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients through strategic planning and effective advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from start to finish
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and evidence presentation
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
- Represent clients in court hearings and trial proceedings
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation
- Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and provide legal guidance
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to litigation
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- State bar admission and license to practice law
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation
- Strong skills in drafting legal documents and motions
- Proven trial preparation and courtroom experience
- Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Experience in client representation and case management
- Familiarity with civil procedure and evidence presentation
