2nd Shift Polisher
Job Description
We are seeking skilled Polishers for a renowned sink faucet manufacturer located in Santa Ana. The position is available for the 2nd Shift, running from 2pm to 10:30pm. This role involves grinding, sanding, and polishing objects using a variety of equipment including large polishers, small buffing machines, and sandblasting machines. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth surface and inspecting items for flaws or cracks, contributing to our high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Grind, sand, and polish designated components.
- Prepare component surfaces for further finishing.
- Identify defects and mark cracks and splits for repair.
- Polish and grind components according to specifications.
- Adjust, start, or stop equipment during the grinding/polishing process.
- Trim and scrape components using chisels and scrapers to smooth products.
- Clean and replace components and tooling in the polishing area.
- Inspect components before and after processing to ensure quality standards are met.
- Remove and report any non-conformant material to Quality or Lead.
- Remove completed components and place them in appropriate containers.
- Change wheels or sanding equipment, as needed.
- Maintain specifications and adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Perform housekeeping activities in the designated work area.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Essential Skills
- Ability to work with power tools.
- Experience in grinding or polishing.
- Extreme regard for safety.
- 1 year experience in a production environment.
- Experience with high-end metal polishing preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to set up and operate polishing equipment.
- Skill in manipulating wheel/components using proper pressure and duration.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use a computer to review drawings/blueprints.
- Mechanical aptitude is desired.

Work Environment
This position involves working in a production environment, where you will spend most of the time standing. The use of a dust mask is required, and you will experience moderate heat levels. The role demands hearing, foot, and eye protection.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
