Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Maintenance TechnicianBUSINESS SEGMENT: Completion & ProductionLOCATION: FillmoreJOB SUMMARYMaintain, troubleshoot and repair all automated and mechanical systems, equipment and machinery as directed. Perform preventative maintenance to equipment as directed. Locate and order repair parts. Perform building maintenance as directed.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain mechanical control on all plant & building equipment.
  2. Perform any unassigned jobs that may be required.
  3. Check level & alignment on all machine tools.
  4. Maintain all plant & building equipment.
  5. Performs any other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Successful completion of Industrial Maintenance and PLC training course.
  2. Two years' experience automated industrial equipment maintenance and repair.

Preferred:

  1. Five years' experience in automated industrial equipment maintenance and repair.

  1. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

  3. Ability to read & interpret documents such as schematics, operating & maintenance instructions & procedure manuals.
  4. Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions & decimals & compute rate, ratio & percent.
  5. Ability to use various electronic test equipment & extensive knowledge of machine tools.
  6. Knowledge & skill of the operation of forklifts.
  7. Knowledge of occupational hazards & safety rules.
  8. Knowledge of quality assurance as normally acquired through in house seminars & training.
  9. Knowledge of shop safety as normally acquired through 6 months to 1 year of shop experience.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  1. Broad knowledge and experience in: CNC machine tools or PLC based automated equipment.
  2. Demonstrated ability to: Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams. Read and understand technical manuals used to operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment. Use electrical and electronic testing equipment.
  3. General knowledge of: Health, Safety, Environmental and OSHA requirements

PHYSICAL/NON-PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands & fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls & reach with hands & arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, talk & hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee will occasionally lift up to 10 pounds & occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception & the ability to adjust focus.
  2. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
