Schedule: Night Shift | 4 x 10-hour shifts | 5:30 PM – 4:00 AM
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician (SEIU) to join our pharmacy team for an exciting travel assignment. This position is ideal for a technician with strong hospital pharmacy experience and expertise in sterile compounding.
Working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will perform essential pharmacy operations including medication preparation, inventory management, and IV compounding while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
RequirementsRequired:

Minimum 5 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience

Sterile compounding experience

Current California Pharmacy Technician License

Strong knowledge of medication preparation and distribution processes
Preferred:

Associate's or Technical Degree

Pharmacy Technician Board Certification (PTCB)
Key Responsibilities
-
Prepare and package medications accurately under pharmacist supervision.

Pull medications from stock and match medications to pharmacist-generated labels.

Fill and deliver unit-dose medication cassettes to nursing units.

Maintain medication inventory, including restocking and rotating stock.

Remove expired medications and maintain floor stock in nursing units.

Prepare IV medications in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.

Process wholesaler and supplier orders, returns, and back orders.

Assist with inventory management and other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.
