1. Organization and Purpose

The Project Engineer’s primary purpose is to ensure that Project Managers get projects done consistently using the Project Sight software and the EOS system. The main purpose is to ensure that all projects are on time and on budget and that all files, forms, and actions are documented appropriately.

2. Scope and Impact

The Project Engineer supports all projects within the branch network at JWM. The indicator of success is to ensure that all projects are completed according to schedule, on budget, within deadlines, and in a safe manner.

Support Projects

· Support Role: Provide administrative and logistical support to the Project

· Manager and project team. Ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

· Self-Management: Manage personal workload effectively, prioritize tasks, and

ensure timely completion. Take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of own work.

· Accountability: Take responsibility for supporting the successful completion of project tasks. Set clear expectations, monitor progress, and provide feedback and support to ensure operational excellence.

Quarterly Conversations and Weekly Check-Ins

· Engage in quarterly performance conversations and participate in weekly check-ins with the Project Manager to monitor progress, provide support, and ensure alignment with goals.

Administrative Support and Documentation

· Documentation Management: Prepare, organize, and maintain project

· documentation (i.e. RFIs, Submittals, EVR, Weekly Agenda Meeting, etc.)

· including contracts, reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence. Ensure all

· documents are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.

· Scheduling and Coordination: Assist in scheduling meetings, appointments, and project activities. Coordinate logistics for meetings, including preparing agendas, materials, and follow-up actions.

· Communication Support: Facilitate effective communication within the project team and with external stakeholders. Draft and distribute emails, memos, and other communications as needed.

Project Tracking and Reporting

· Tracking Reports: Maintain project tracking reports and tools as directed by the

· Project Manager. Ensure accurate and timely updates to project schedules,

· budgets, and status reports.

Data Entry and Management

· Enter and manage project data in relevant

· systems and databases. Ensure data accuracy and consistency.

· Implementation of Company Tools and Reports: Ensure the implementation

· and follow-through of company tools and tracking reports for project activities.

· Provide regular updates and ensure compliance with company standards.

Financial and Resource Management Support

· Budget Tracking: Assist in tracking project budgets and expenses. Ensure that financial data is accurately recorded and reported.

· Resource Coordination: Assist in coordinating project resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel. Ensure resources are allocated and utilized efficiently.

· Invoice and Purchase Order Processing: Assist with processing invoices and purchase orders. Ensure timely submission and follow-up on payments and approvals.

Quality Assurance, Safety, and Compliance

· Quality Control: Support the Project Manager in maintaining high standards of quality in all project processes and outputs. Assist in implementing quality control measures and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

· Safety Standards: Promote and support a culture of safety within the project team. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, and continuously improve safety practices.

· Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring that all project activities comply with relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Monitor changes in regulations and support adjustments to project plans as necessary to maintain compliance.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in administrative and project support practices. Implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

· Innovation: Support the project team in identifying and implementing new technologies and methods to improve project delivery.

· Feedback and Adaptation: Gather feedback from team members and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. Adapt support practices based on feedback and changing circumstances.

Safety

● Must be able to uphold a safe work environment, using following all safety precautions in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
