The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in warehouses or distribution centers. This role ensures the smooth flow of inventory and supports overall operational goals through precise handling of goods and adherence to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift equipment to move materials and products within the facility
- Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently
- Inspect forklifts daily to ensure proper working condition and report any issues
- Stack and position materials accurately to optimize space utilization
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies related to forklift operation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to fulfill orders and inventory movements
