Job Description

Livingston Law Firm is a boutique civil trial and litigation defense firm with a focus on personal injury. We are seeking an experienced legal secretary to join our Walnut Creek team and support the managing partner and other experienced attorneys in a professional, supportive, collaborative and fast-paced environment handling sophisticated legal matters.


We are looking for a proactive, organized professional who takes pride in producing high-quality work, is efficient and communicative, manages priorities, supports an active calendar and thrives in a team-oriented setting.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support attorneys through all phases of civil litigation
  • Prepare, format, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
  • Create and maintain Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities
  • Manage calendaring, court deadlines, filings, and litigation procedures
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, and trial-related logistics
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of California civil litigation experience
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and deadlines
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with Amicus or similar legal case management software is a plus

This is a full-time, on-site position in our Walnut Creek office.


Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, with an anticipated hourly range of $40–$50 per hour.
