Senior Accountant
Location: Downtown San Diego (Hybrid, 1 day/week in office)
Compensation: $82K–$90K + bonus & benefits
Overview:
TSG is seeking a Senior Accountant for a well-established company with an almost 100 year history that offers excellent benefits, mentorship, and an almost fully remote schedule with just 1 day in office a week. Responsibilities
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities to deliver accurate and timely financial results
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and analytical work completed by the accounting team
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and related subledgers while upholding robust internal controls
- Oversee consolidation of multiple entities and prepare comprehensive consolidated financial statements
- Collaborate with the Controller on cash management, banking relationships, and preparation for external audits
- Prepare and review revenue recognition assessments, including ASC 606 contract evaluations and supporting memos, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue analysis
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance accounting systems and workflows
- Provide day-to-day guidance, development, and performance support to team member
- Assist with key initiatives, including system upgrades, process rollouts, and executive-level reporting projects
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
- 3+ years of related and progressive accounting experience
- Proven knowledge of GAAP with emphasis on intercompany accounting and experience in revenue recognition
- Public Accounting or Auditing experience is a plus
- Strong ERP system experience
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously and manage multiple deadlines
