The Assembler performs electrical and mechanical assembly, inspection, and testing of products by closely following released Manufacturing Procedure Instructions (MPI). This role supports production, quality, and shipping activities within a clean, organized medical device manufacturing environment, while adhering to all applicable regulations and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and mechanical assembly of products using released Manufacturing Procedure Instructions (MPI).
- Carry out in-process and final testing on products in accordance with the approved MPI and other released procedures.
- Perform incoming inspection of components and materials, and complete any required rework using the appropriate MPI.
- Use common mechanical and electrical tools and instruments safely and correctly during assembly and testing activities.
Essential Skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow Manufacturing Procedure Instructions (MPI) and other released procedures.
- Experience using common mechanical tools such as hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform mechanical assembly work with attention to detail and quality.
- Capability to follow written and verbal instructions in a regulated environment.
- Strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and organization in the work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in assembly, production, or warehouse inventory environments.
- Willingness to learn and be trained on medical device manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
