Employment Litigation Paralegal

Our client is looking for an Employment Litigation Paralegal with 3+ years to join their wonderful firm located in downtown San Diego. This role is hybrid. Ideal candidate will support attorneys in all phases of employment litigation by managing case files, preparing legal documents, coordinating discovery, and ensuring compliance with court deadlines. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in employment law matters, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Manage case files, court filings, service of process, and litigation calendars.
  • Coordinate all phases of discovery, including document collection, review, production, and tracking.
  • Prepare deposition notices, coordinate depositions, and organize exhibits and witness files.
  • Conduct legal and factual research using Lexis, Westlaw, and other legal research platforms.
  • Maintain case databases, discovery logs, and document management systems.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibits, witness lists, and courtroom support.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules, scheduling orders, and internal deadlines.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program required.

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of paralegal litigation experience, preferably in employment litigation.
  • Experience with wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination matters.
  • Proficiency with Lexis, Westlaw, Relativity, EDGAR, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures, including e-filing.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and document management skills.
